Rules and Ethics in Marketing and Sales of Fintech Products and Services (Approved by HRDA)
The rapid growth of financial technology has led to a critical need to ensure that marketing and sales of financial products is done ethically. This consideration aligns with global regulatory shifts to protect consumers from mis-selling or other unethical practices. Fintech firms face unique ethical challenges, needing to align with both traditional finance guidelines and evolving tech capabilities . Often, staff in fintech might not be from traditional finance backgrounds, increasing the risk of non-compliance to regulatory expectations in terms of sales and marketing.
This seminar will address these issues directly. It will cover core ethical principles for marketing and selling fintech products, focusing on new regulations and regulatory expectations, like the EU’s MiCA for Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs). Mis-selling, a major problem driven by knowledge gaps and high-pressure environments, can lead to significant fines for many fintech companies.
Our training will highlight how to provide marketing material responsibly, and ethically sale products, ensuring compliance with growing restrictions in financial regulations. Practical exercises and case studies will cement this crucial knowledge.
Please note that registration in the Human Resource Development Authority’s system, Ermis, is a prerequisite for participation in the program.
