A Landmark Collaboration: Future Skills Hub, CITEA, and NetU Host Exclusive Tech Leadership Masterclass with Ex-Microsoft & Meta Expert Corina Taban

In June 29, 2026, the Future Skills Hub of European University Cyprus successfully hosted an exclusive online masterclass, “BRAVE. BOLD. VISIBLE. Redefining Confidence in Tech & Leadership.” The event was organized in co-operation with the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA) and held in strategic partnership with NetU.

The session featured keynote speaker Corina Taban, a renowned Leadership Development Expert, Organizational Behavior Researcher, and Teaching Fellow at the University of Cambridge. Taban’s approach challenged traditional concepts of confidence, offering participants a fresh, research-backed perspective on how to navigate the challenges of the tech and leadership landscape.

Key Takeaways from the Session
The masterclass provided attendees with practical tools to elevate their professional impact. The core themes explored during the session included:

  • Confidence is an Output, Not an Input: Confidence should not be a prerequisite for taking action. By tackling difficult tasks and surviving them, professionals build confidence as a byproduct of their experience.
  • The “10% Braver” Rule: Bravery is not a sudden, monumental act; it is built through small, continuous “reps”—such as speaking up during a meeting or sending that challenging email.
  • The Strategic “No”: To be bold, one must prioritize capacity. Learning to decline non-promotable tasks is essential to clear a path for work that truly drives impact.
  • Visibility Rules: Silent excellence often remains invisible. Professionals must actively author the story of their work to ensure it is recognized by decision-makers.

Participant Impact
The session resonated deeply with the diverse group of tech professionals, executives, and students in attendance. Feedback from participants highlighted the immediate, tangible value of the masterclass:

“I used to think great work spoke for itself, but this masterclass taught me how to stop hiding, say a strategic ‘no’, and finally get noticed by decision-makers.”
“It was a lovely session with many insights and lots of reminders that we are always worth everything we ask for to become and to earn.”
